Ever felt like your swing dancing is missing something?

Jessie and Benjie from Cardiff’s The Swing Project believe the magic isn’t in flashy moves, it’s in the fundamentals. Fundamentals are the superpowers that make every swing out feel effortless. This workshop is a deep dive into the eternal principles that make swing dance feel effortless, connected, and truly musical.

Whether you’ve been dancing for 6 months or 6 years, this workshop will transform how you move. 

You’ll explore:

• Body‑partner connection – sync with your own body and with your partner in a natural, playful flow.
• Body‑music connection – hear the song in your steps and let it guide your movement.
•  Transitions – the bridges that keep the conversation flowing, no matter the pattern. 

Jessie and Benjie aren’t just teachers, they’re community builders.  Their playful, respectful approach honors jazz culture while helping  you find more joy, flow, and authenticity in every dance.

• Dancers with 6+ months of regular classes
• Seasoned dancers ready to deepen their practice
• Anyone who wants to elevate their dancing beyond moves into real conversation with their partner and the music
